You can join a game group as a play, or as an observer.

1. Select the Join Game As... option from the shortcut menu on a game.

Optionally view the game details.

2. Select an available position from the menu.

Your avatar is moved to the game group, which is enlarged to fill the browser pane. The Game tab is selected in the Chat Manager. Your status, either Play or Observe, is displayed in the status area.

Drag and drop your avatar to a position as a player or viewer on the game board. 

The cursor will have a game icon to indicate that you are in an allowed position.
