This dialog box shows you the text of a received instant message. If you press the Respond button, you can continue the conversation in the same dialog box.

Chat Transcript

Displays the received Instant Message.

Respond

Allows you to respond to an Instant Message.

Cancel

Closes the Instant Message window.

After you have pressed the Respond button to reply to the instant message, the following fields and buttons are added:

Chat Transcript

Displays both sides of the conversation.

Text to Send

Type the message you wish to send in this section; press ENTER or click the Send button to transmit the message. The length of the text is limited to 200 characters. 

Gesture button

Click this button to open the Gesture Palette. Once you select a gesture, its icon is displayed on the button and the palette is closed.

Send button

Click this button to send the message in the send line. Alternately, you can press ENTER to send the text.

Make Tab

Collapses the Instant Message window back into the Communications Manager.
