| Community Servers (List
of currently available servers)
This dialog box is a utility for managing your list of interesting communities. It allows you to add new community names, and modify, remove, and connect to existing ones. Community Name A name to identify a community, entered as free text, for example Virtual Places. Server Address The community server's machine address, in the format host.subdomain.domain (for example, vps1.vplaces.aol.com), or IP address (for example, 204.148.102.183). List of Communities A list of communities that you configured. The communities are listed with community name and server address. The current community is indicated by a red check mark. Add Adds a new community to the list. You must enter a community name and server address first. Modify Modifies a selected community in the list. You must select a community and edit its name and/or server address first. You can not modify the current community. Remove Removes a selected community from the list. You can not remove the current community Set Default Makes the selected community server the default server. The Virtual Places connects to this community when you start the application. The default server can also be changed in the Preferences. Connect Connects Virtual Places to the selected community. Cancel Closes the Edit Community Servers dialog box, discarding any changes made to the Community Servers. OK Closes the Community Servers dialog box, saving any changes made to the Community Servers. |
