There are two options.
The first is to install VP again in a different directory, p.e. vplaces2 and customize each version (with different avs etc). That way each of you will have a unique VP version.

Another solution is to add the excite server again into VP with your profile.
That way, depending upon the Excite server you connect with, the profile will change automatically.

To add a server:

In the VP browser, click 'Tools', then click 'Community Servers' from the drop down menu. 
Adding a server:
1.Write down the name of Server in Community Name line (anything you like) 
2.Write the Server address in Server Address line
3.Press 'Add' - button 
4.The Server is added 
now connect and add your profile.
