First you will have to unzip the file. Then copy it into your VPlaces directory. There you execute the file and the patch will start in a DOS window. After it is finished, your VP has the new capabilities.
Note that it no use to install the gestures in IM patch if you are not using the Excite version. The other versions allow this by default.
